Nordia Orillia braves the cold and raises over $500!

On February 23, for a third year in a row, the Nordia Orillia team joined thousands of other Canadians as they walked in the Coldest Night of the Year Event, a walk that aims to raise funds and support vulnerable families and individuals in our communities.

This year, the team braved the cold, walked 5K and raised over $500 that will be given to a local charity.

Hats off to all the participants – see you next year!

From coast to coast, Nordia's teams joined the conversation – again!

Once again this year, our teams from coast to coast joined the conversation to end the stigma surrounding mental illness through various activities during the #BellLetsTalk day. These activities included the sale of raffle tickets for "Wellness” baskets as well as a special activity: the Empathy Tree. Nordia employees were invited to write down their thoughts and testimonials on their very own tree leaves.

More than $4,000 will be donated on behalf of Nordia to the Bell Let’s Talk Community Fund. A success from top to bottom! Hats off to the entire organizing team and to our ambassadors without whom this activity would not have been possible. We are already looking forward to next year!

Here are the winners of our amazing "Wellness” baskets. Enjoy your relaxation time!

The Nordia Rouyn-Noranda team donates $9,185 to La Ressource

For the 5th consecutive year, twenty employees, volunteers and guests gathered on January 27 at the Nordia centre in Rouyn-Noranda to solicit donations from the people of Abitibi-Témiscamingue.

To support the superb team of volunteers, many door prizes, snacks and a pizza dinner were offered throughout the day. In addition, the team also received the visits and support from celebrities, which was greatly appreciated by all.

In the end, a cheque for $9,185 was presented in Nordia's name to La Ressource pour personnes handicapées de l'Abitibi-Témiscamingue / Nord-du-Québec. The Resource raised $542,162 to support its work.

Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make this event a success!

RESPECT is everyone's business at Nordia!

A few weeks ago, Nordia launched the Respect and Civility in the Workplace program for all employees. This initiative highlights the importance of working together to promote respect and civility in our workplaces. Whether it is to be courteous, keep the workplace clean or improve punctuality, everyone has a part to play in this project.

To launch the project, the Civility and Pride squads of each centre set up information kiosks to promote the program and discuss the priorities for action to be implemented. Employees were able to take photos to capture the moment and participate in decision-making by proposing concrete actions to improve respect in their workplace and thereby enhance their pride in working at Nordia.

Respect - We value it. We believe in it. We are taking action.
